Early Spring is a great time to put grass seed down. The seed has time to germinate and soft wet soil to establish it's early roots.

To have a beautiful, lush, green lawn, your grass needs to be watered effectively. Water in the mornings and evenings for the best ground saturation! Your grass roots need about 6 inches of saturation to grow well. Where the ground dries up your grass roots will stop growing. If it is dry 2 inches deep, your roots stop growing at 2 inches deep. This makes it much easier for your grass to be overheated and die!

How much water is too much? Typically if you are over-watering, you will start to see mushrooms growing. Shaded areas don't need as much water and areas exposed to the sun more often will need more water. Try to keep that 6 inch saturation consistant for the best growth results.

Don't cut your grass too short! Your grass height determines how much shade your roots get. If you cut your grass is too short, your grass roots will not have any shade and they will burn up easier.
